Formalize wishes regarding organ donation
If, in the course of conversation with the maker of the will, you learn he or she wants to be — or already is — an organ donor you should encourage that person to make sure those wishes are made known. Often, time is of the essence when it comes to successful organ donation. Many choose to have their license note their desire to be an organ donor and others choose to wear a bracelet or inform their doctor or hospital. If you have the opportunity, be sure to encourage the will maker that, while it is a wish for after death, it might need to be recorded in places in addition to a will.
