Consider giving your executor a copy of your will

If your will is a relatively simple one, giving the entirety of your estate in equal shares to your children, for example, you might want to go ahead and give a copy of your will to the executor named inside. However, in some cases, you might want to keep the contents of your will confidential until your death. If this is the case, you can tell the executor you name where a copy of the will can be found. Be sure the copy will be readily accessible, for example, kept with the attorney who helped prepare it and not in a safe deposit box, which might be inaccessible immediately after death.
