Some bills come via email, so an executor should be sure to check the decedent’s email regularly for bills that arrive that way. As bills come through electronic accounts, you need to notify the companies that you are the executor and bills should be sent to you now. Provide them with your address and contact information.
For bills that come electronically, you should consider printing them and keeping them in your filing system. It’s not the most environmentally friendly thing to do, but you want to ensure you have the necessary information if anyone, especially the probate judge, needs it.
